Olam has been a key player in agri-business for over 25 years.
Founded in 1994, Olam’s operations in Ghana have since grown, establishing the company as one of the leading agro-commodity firms in Africa today. In addition to its prominent position as one of the largest private Licensed Buying Companies (LBC) in Ghana’s cocoa sector, Olam Ghana is the country’s leading cashew exporter and one of its largest importers of rice. In 2012, the state-of-the-art wheat flour mill commissioned by Alapala in Tema further strengthened Olam’s position, making it one of the country’s leading flour producers.
